This beautiful mama, Yulya, is actually a very special client because she also happens to be my makeup artist for many of my other studio sessions! Everyone who has followed me for a while knows this, so when I posted the sneak peek footage of this session, most people just assumed that Yulya was there to do makeup, like usual. Then, when I posted the official BTS, it was a big surprise to everyone that she was actually the pregnant mama and that this maternity session was for her.
I think these studio maternity pictures came out absolutely amazing, and I think Yulya is an actual goddess. When she received her maternity pictures, she said "This is more than pictures. You have made my dreams come true." She is already the mom of a 10-year-old, and she never had the chance to have professional maternity photos taken back then, so this was a long time coming. I'm so happy to have been a part of giving my good friend what she and every other beautiful pregnant mama out there deserve.
I strive to make my photography studio a super inclusive and welcoming space. My mission is to make all bodies, no matter the shape, size, or color, feel as beautiful through my work as they look to me in real life. So even if you are nearing the end of your pregnancy (and maybe starting to feel not the best in your skin, trust me, I've been there) I will capture the true glow and unmatched beauty that pregnancy brings.
