Motherhood Sessions in Boston - Because They're Only This Little Once

May 13, 2026 Family, Maternity, Studio Work, Mother's Day

Mother's Day has come and gone. But if you've been scrolling through your camera roll lately, looking at blurry iPhone shots and thinking "I really need to actually capture this" - this post is for you. This Mother's Day season I had the privilege of photographing over 25 mamas and their little ones at my Somerville studio. And honestly? I didn't want it to end. Here is behind the scenes videos from those sessions so you could feel it.

There is something that happens in that studio when a mom walks in with her kids. The way a toddler runs straight to her. The way a baby reaches up and grabs her face. The way she holds them like it's the most natural thing in the world - because it is.

That's what I'm here to capture. Not stiff, posed, "everyone smile at the camera" moments. The real ones. The silly ones. The ones where nobody is looking at the camera and that's exactly what makes them perfect.

One of my clients, Samantha, said it best after her session: she teared up opening her gallery because she saw the real them - not posed or perfect, just them.

Those are the images that end up on your walls. Those are the ones your kids will look back on one day and see exactly who they were at this age.

And that is such a gift.

A year from now your kids will look different. You won't remember exactly how small their hands were, how silly they were, how they mispronounced words in the most adorable way. How tiny they looked curled up next to you.

And you don't need a holiday to capture that. You just need 30 minutes. Thats why I'm extending motherhood sessions through the end of June at the same Mother's Day pricing. That means 30 minutes in the studio, one outfit, and over 30 color and black and white images you will cherish forever.

Do it for them. Do it for you. Do it so that one day, when they're not so little anymore, you have something to hold onto.
